Reports to: Location Specific Lab Manager (Chicago, White Plains, Santa Ana, Plano)

Description: P&K Research is looking for food-handlers/servers in our consumer research lab. This role supports the team leaders in facilitating and conducting taste tests and product usage surveys.

Responsibilities Include: A typical day of work may include the following activities: checking respondents in to individual computers and pulling up their survey, passing out samples and/or assisting in the kitchen prep of samples, cleaning and replenishing work stations with water/palate cleansers, cleaning kitchen equipment and sample prep space, & reading a short script to the room of testers before their survey begins

Requirements:

• Must have basic knowledge and ability to use Windows OS and Chrome web browser
• Must be able to stand for up to 5 hours at a time without sitting
• Basic customer services skills/ past customer service role a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic math, reading and computer skills
• Ability to follow directions with minimal supervision
• Food handling experience a plus
• Must have flexible availability, including possibly 1 Saturday a month.

Associate Research Strategist – Research Management

P&K Research is a full-service custom consumer market research company, with a focus on product testing.

As a member of the Research Management team, this position assists senior staff in managing the execution of consumer research studies end-to-end. The position provides the opportunity to develop an in-depth understanding of market research from the ground up.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to a Senior Research Strategist or Director of Research Strategy, the Associate Research Strategist is responsible for:

• Participating in communication of study design/methodology with client and internal operation departments

• Initiating and progressing the study in the P&K project management system
• Developing the recruiting screener and questionnaire, and quality checking the screener and questionnaire program links before they are published
• Generating the preparation and serving protocol for the study, and communicating with labs all study execution details.
• Interacting with the Contact Center during the respondent recruiting process to ensure quotas and timelines are met
• Developing banner analytic plans to communicate with data processing the data summary and statistics requirements
• Populating and proofing data topline and final report deliverables, ensuring they are client ready
• Travel for study if required
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Minimum BA/BS or 1 plus years consumer market research experience

Director/Vice President, Client Services

This position reports to the CEO or EVP and is responsible for leading a portfolio of client accounts. The ideal candidate will have consumer insights and/or sensory and product testing experience in Consumer Packaged Goods, with a background in quantitative and qualitative research methods. In this client-facing role, the position is expected to strengthen client relationships through excellence in technical knowledge and customer service.

Responsibilities:

Demonstrate thought leadership in identifying appropriate research solutions based on an understanding of the client’s business questions.

• Develop detailed research proposals based on that understanding.
• Upon project approval, provide direction regarding study execution to P&K research and operational staff, and/or to external research partners.
• Monitor the progress of a project and communicate progress to clients as needed.
• Interpret study results and collaborate with P&K research staff in the generation of final deliverables
• Communicate research findings through in-person or on-line presentations and through written reports tailored to the intended audience
• Independent of projects, provide consultation and other value-added services to clients, for example, through seminars and other training sessions.
• Contribute to business development by supporting corporate marketing efforts
• Be a visible contributor to the research industry through participation in conferences and professional organizations.
• Mentor junior staff as needed
• Travel for study if required (10%)

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in consumer insights and/or sensory and product testing plus BA/BS in fields such as social or behavioral sciences, marketing, sensory evaluation, food science OR 7+ years and an advance degree
• Experience in the interpretation of advanced statistical analyses
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize efficiently across multiple projects
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook); experience with digital market research platforms a plus
